Practitioners (Professional, Allied, Associate): 

$100 first entry / $75 for each additional entry

Non-Members:

$150 first entry / $125 for each additional entry

Students:

$0 per entry

• ASID Ohio North Professional, Allied, and Associate members
• Non-ASID Members (at an increased rate)
• ASID Ohio North Student members
• ASID Ohio North Industry Partner members

Eligible Entries

• Projects must have been completed after September 2021
• It is recommended that your project(s) be professionally photographed, but cell phone photos are acceptable

Important Dates

• Submissions Opens:  June 1, 2023
• Submissions Deadline EXTENDED:  AUGUST 9, 2023
• Winners announced at Awards Gala / Annual Meeting:  September 20, 2023

Entrant Information

Project Statement - See Judging Criteria below for points to consider in your Project Statement

500 words or less explaining the design challenges and your solutions. Include notes on unusual design criteria or restrictions, budgetary considerations, code considerations, space limitations, materials used. Include client objectives, square footage if applicable, a budget if available, and a date of completion or occupancy.

No identifying information for clients, designers or other involved parties should appear on the Project Statement. They will be reviewed by the judges and anonymity needs to be maintained. Projects not following this will be disqualified.

Floor Plans

You are allowed to submit up to 5 floor plans and/or elevations of your project. These are to be included in the Project Template. Renderings are acceptable.

Photography

You are allowed to submit up to 10 photographs of your project. Professional photography recommended but is not mandatory. Each file must not exceed 10 MB.  

Payment

You will be required to provide valid credit card information to process entries.

Cost - No refunds will be given for any reason

To simplify the submission process on both the submitter and the jury, The Awards Committee has implemented an online service.

Residential Award Categories

• Residential New Construction Under 3,000 SF: New built home 3,000 square feet or under
• Residential New Construction Over 3,000 SF: New built home over 3,000 square feet
• Residential Renovation Under 3,000 SF: Renovated home 3,000 square feet or under
• Residential Renovation Over 3,000 SF: Renovated home over 3,000 square feet
• Single Residential Room: Basement, Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room, or other standard residential room
• Outdoor Living Space: Design of outdoor living space
• Specialty Residential Room: Unique space such as Bar, Wine Room, Theater, Gym, etc.
• Residential Detail: Unique interior detail of a space, may be a custom piece, architectural, etc.

Residential Kitchen & Bath Award Categories

• Best Powder Room: Toilet and sink only
• Full Bathroom Under 150 SF: Full bath 150 square feet or under
• Full Bathroom Over 150 SF: Full bath over 150 square feet
• Best Bathroom: Best overall bathroom (powder or full)
• Before / After Bathroom: Best before / after renovated bathroom (powder or full)
• Kitchen Under 250 SF: Kitchen 250 square feet or under
• Kitchen Over 250 SF: Kitchen over 250 square feet
• Best Kitchen: Best overall kitchen
• Before / After Kitchen: Best before / after renovated kitchen

Commercial Award Categories

• Corporate Space Under 10,000 SF: Corporate workspace 10,000 square feet or under
• Corporate Space Over 10,000 SF: Corporate workspace over 10,000 square feet
• Commercial Detail: Custom designed element

Student Award Categories

• Student Residential: Best residential student project
• Student Commercial: Best commercial student project
