2025 AWARDS COMPETITION | Rules and Criteria
EARLY BIRD PRICING FOR ASID MEMBERS: (through April 30)
$100 first entry / $75 for each additional entry
PRICING AFTER APRIL 30
ASID MEMBERS:
$150 first entry / $125 for each additional entry
NON-MEMBERS:
$175 first entry / $150 for each additional entry
STUDENTS:
$0 per entry
ELIGIBLE ENTRANTS
• ASID Ohio North Members (Professional, Allied, Associate, and Firm Partner)
• Non-ASID Members (at an increased rate)
• ASID Ohio North Student Members
• ASID Ohio North Industry Partner Members (select categories)
ELIGIBLE ENTRIES
• Projects must have been completed after September 2023
• It is recommended that your project(s) be professionally photographed, but cell phone photos are acceptable
IMPORTANT DATES
• Design Entry Window: March 31 through June 15, 2025
• Submissions Deadline: June 15, 2025
• Jurying Window: June 16 through August 10, 2025
• Winners announced at 50th Anniversary of ASID Awards Gala / Annual Meeting: September 17, 2025

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Your name and contact information
Project Statement - See Judging Criteria below for points to consider in your Project Statement
500 words or less explaining the design challenges and your solutions. Include notes on unusual design criteria or restrictions, budgetary considerations, code considerations, space limitations, materials used. Include client objectives, square footage if applicable, a budget if available, and a date of completion or occupancy.
No identifying information for clients, designers or other involved parties should appear on the Project Statement. They will be reviewed by the judges and anonymity needs to be maintained. Projects not following this will be disqualified.
Floor Plans
You are allowed to submit up to 5 floor plans and/or elevations of your project. These are to be included in the Project Template. Renderings are acceptable.
Photography
You are allowed to submit up to 10 photographs of your project. Professional photography recommended but is not mandatory. Each file must not exceed 10 MB.
Payment
You will be required to provide valid credit card information to process entries.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON
Online Service
To simplify the submission process on both the submitter and the jury, The Awards Committee has implemented an online service.
JUDGING PROCESS
All judging is done anonymously by a panel of ASID Members from ASID Chapters outside of Ohio, and are awarded based on highest score format.
INDUSTRY PARTNER STAR AWARD - BY NOMINATION
Please submit any Industry Partner you believe deserves recognition for their outstanding products, services, etc. Nominations will be vetted by the board and scored by a panel of ASID Members from ASID Chapters outside of Ohio, and are awarded based on highest score format.
1. Nominee must be an ASID member in good standing.
2. Nominee must demonstrate exemplary customer service and an outstanding commitment to our industry.
3. Nominee must demonstrate leadership within the Design Community. These contributions may be a combination of, but not limited to:
• Long-time ASID committee support
• Education to fellow colleagues and students
• Professional business practice that exemplifies the standards of ASID
DESIGNER OF DISTINCTION - BY NOMINATION
Please submit an Interior Designer you believe deserves recognition for their commitment, advocacy, passion and professionalism to the interior design industry and exemplifies outstanding contribution through community outreach, volunteer service or leadership. Nominations will be vetted by the board and scored by a panel of ASID Members from ASID Chapters outside of Ohio, and are awarded based on highest score format.
1. Nominee must be an ASID member in good standing.
2. Nominee must demonstrate an outstanding body of work through a combination of, but not limited to the following:
• ASID Design Awards
• Published Design Work
• Awards Outside of ASID
3. Nominee must demonstrate leadership within the Design Community. These contributions may be a combination of but not limited to:
• Long-term ASID committee support
• Mentor to fellow colleagues and students
• Active involvement in local board and events that represent or support the design community
• Professional business practice that exemplifies the standards of ASID
